Everything from jewelry and hand blown glass to kaleidoscopes and pottery, we try to have something for everyone. Year Founded 1979. Square Feet of Retail Space 2 locations of 1,000 sq. ft. each. Why did you decide to open a gallery? I worked for the business for 15 years and purchased it 17 years ago. How many artists do you represent? Over 200. How do you promote your artists and your gallery? Local print advertising, website and Facebook. What type of merchandise is made in the U.S., Canada, Imported? Almost 100 percent American made. What trade shows do you attend? ACRE. What attracts you to new merchandise? Quality and function. Do you consign? Yes. Do you sell online? Yes. What is your shopping routine on IndieMe? During the off season shop diligently then whenever I need something new or see a new artist listed. Who generates the biggest sales for you? Tourists? Locals? Repeat Customers? Collectors? Tourists, we are summer seasonal at the beach. How is business? Any thoughts for the future of craft galleries? We have had ups and downs with the economy but have had slow steady growth during our 39 years in business. What advice do you have for new craft galleries? Be diverse, committed to American craft and unique in your offerings. What advice do you have for new craft artists? Find the right mix of quality, value and price.
